Troubleshooting an inReach Mini 2 That Is Locked Up, Unresponsive, or Will Not Power On
If your inReach® Mini 2 handheld is unresponsive, freezing up, or acting abnormally, use the troubleshooting steps below to help resolve the issue.
Check for Software Updates

Restart the inReach Mini 2 Handheld
Restarting the inReach Mini 2 handheld will not erase data or change settings. While this works best when the inReach Mini 2 handheld is connected to a power source, it can be performed at any time.
If possible, connect the inReach Mini 2 to a charger or computer.
Press and hold the Power button for at least 12 seconds to shut the device off.
Release the Power button.
Press and hold the Power button again until the device turns on.
Restore the inReach Mini 2 Handheld to Default Settings
If your inReach Mini 2 is responsive, but acting abnormally, the following steps can be used to restore default settings.
From the home page, press OK to open the main menu.
Select Settings.
Select System.
Select Reset Device.
Select Restore Default Settings.
After the inReach Mini 2 reboots, pair it with your phone again. For detailed pairing instructions, see Related.
Factory Reset the inReach Mini 2 Handheld
Ensure the device is powered off.
Press and hold

, and Power simultaneously.
Once Garmin appears on the screen, release the Power button.
Wait for the device to beep once, then release

Wait for the device to beep a second time, then release
.
Choose the correct language when prompted.
