Kenwood DNX7140/9140 Navigation Screen Freezing, Unresponsive and/or Repeatedly Displays the Message GPS Firmware Update Complete

Please note that if your Kenwood DNX7140/9140 is experiencing either of the following symptoms:

• The Navigation Screen freezes and the touch screen is unresponsive.
• GPS Firmware Update Complete is displayed on the Navigation Screen for five seconds and reappears every 30 seconds.

A software update is available to correct this issue. Refer to the steps below on how to update your software:

1. Visit http://www.garmin.com/kenwood

2. Click Update

3. Click on your device model

4. Click Software Updates

5. Click Get Latest Kenwood Software Instructions

• This document will provide you with step-by-step instructions for installing the update

6. Click Get Latest Kenwood Software

• The software update file will begin to download 

7. Follow the downloaded instructions to complete the update
