Overview of the Garmin Explore Website
The Garmin Explore™ website is used for activating service on new inReach® satellite communication devices, maintaining your account, and viewing user map data. It now features the ability to sync data from other Garmin devices, like the Overlander®, Tread®, zūmo® XT, and zūmo® XT2 GPS navigators.
When visiting this page for the first time, you will need to select one of the options under the Create an Account heading depending on whether you are activating service for an inReach handheld device, or connecting another Garmin device. After selecting one of these options, the website will walk you through the initial setup process.
Once the Account Setup Process is Completed, you can do the Following:
NOTE: When using the zūmo XT2 and Tread devices, it is recommended to use the Tread® App for managing waypoints, routes, and tracks. The Garmin Explore website can be used to manage waypoints and tracks, but does not support route creation for the zumo XT2 and Tread devices.
Sync your device and mobile device.
Overlander Navigator Only - Garmin Explore app for other Garmin devices.
Routes cannot be synced with the Tread® XL - Baja Chase Edition and Tread® XL - Baja Race Edition GPS navigators.
