Using the PrePass App with a dēzl OTR Device

PrePass is the leading weigh station bypass system in North America. With PrePass, pre-cleared vehicles continue at highway speeds without having to stop at weigh stations. PrePass saves carriers time, fuel and money. It also helps create greater efficiencies for shippers and supports improved safety for all highway users.

The PrePass App enables drivers to verify the safety, credentials, and weight of a commercial vehicle with upcoming weigh stations. You can pair your dēzl™ OTR device with the dēzl™ App and the PrePass App to receive upcoming weigh station notifications on your dēzl™ OTR device.

• You must have an active PrePass account subscription to use this feature.

• The dēzl™ App sends notifications from the PrePass App to the dēzl™ OTR device.

• Smart Notifications must be enabled in the dēzl™ App.

To Access Prepass Notifications

1. Ensure the dēzl™ OTR device is paired with the dēzl™ App

• • Go to the Support Center and enter your product name or serial number.

  • Once you select your device, click Other and search for "Pairing the dēzl™ App" for instructions.

2. Ensure the PrePass App is installed on the phone and signed in

3. Touch the Map Tools icon   

4. Touch PrePass

• • You must first be successfully connected to the dēzl app and have the prepass app installed to select this option.

5. PrePass notifications will appear when approaching a weigh station including driver alerts such as work zones, traffic incidents, steep grades, chain up areas and truck parking locations
