What Is the Primary Race Glance on My Garmin Watch?
The Primary Race glance helps prepare you for an upcoming race event by tailoring your training. Your Training Status, HRV Status, and Training Readiness will all contribute in managing your training volume and intensity to get you ready for race day. To find out if your watch is compatible with the Primary Race glance search your owner's manual for "Glances". Some features you may see on this glance include (some watches may not support all features):
A countdown until your Race date
The date and time of your event
Training volume and intensity assistance
Weather and elevation data for the event
Optional PacePro™ feature race strategy or time/pace goal
Personalized Daily Suggested Workouts tailored to your primary race event
Tutorial on Using the Primary Race Glance
Find or Create an Event
To use the Primary Race glance, you will need to find or create a race event in your Garmin Connect™ account on your calendar. Once an event has been added to your Garmin Connect Calendar, and you have synced your watch, the Primary Race glance will automatically be added to the widget or glances loop on the watch.
NOTE: While ultra marathon events can be selected as a race event, the Personalized Daily Suggested Workouts were not designed for ultra marathons and may not fit your training needs.
To check if your watch supports this feature, see your owner's manual.

"An Event Has Been Deleted" Message
If you added someone else's race event to your calendar, instead of creating your own event, you will receive 'An Event Has Been Deleted" message when the original owner deletes it. To avoid this from happening in the future, we recommend creating your own race event and setting it to private.
What Is a Verified Source?
A Verified Source is an event that was created by a Garmin partner and is flagged as an official event. A Verified Source event can be modified or deleted but only by that specific owner.
