Garmin GLO Series LED Light Patterns

The Garmin GLO™ and GLO™ 2 receivers have two different LED indicators that can be used to display Bluetooth, charging, and GPS satellite status.

Bluetooth LED Patterns

The Bluetooth LED is Blue. The patterns displayed indicate the Bluetooth connection status.

  • Slow flashing blue: Searching for mobile devices

  • Rapid flashing blue: Pairing

  • Solid blue: Connected to mobile device

    • NOTE: When connected with an Android or Windows device, the LED will not turn solid until a compatible application is open and actively using the GLO.


Status LED Patterns

The Status LED can display two different colors: Orange (relates to the battery) and Green (relates to the GPS satellites). The patterns displayed can indicate charging and GPS signal status. If the device is powered off while charging, the LED indicators will not be illuminated at all.

  • Slow flashing orange: Charging, power connected

  • Solid orange: Battery charged, power connected

  • Orange off: Battery charged, power disconnected

  • Rapid flashing orange: Low battery

  • Alternating orange and green: Faulty battery or system error

  • Flashing green: Searching for GPS satellites

  • Solid green: GPS satellite fix
