How to Purchase or Renew a Chart Subscription for the Navionics Boating App

NOTE: Subscription purchase/renewals will activate auto renewal. Auto-renewal can be cancelled at any time from the Subscription Portal. Subscriptions purchased via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store will be managed through their respective store. The following countries do not have to agree to auto-renewal: Netherlands, Türkiye, South Africa and Israel.

First-Time Purchase Through Garmin.com

  1. Go to https://www.garmin.com/p/904463/.
  2. Select your coverage area.
  3. Select ADD TO CART.
  4. Choose your cart in the upper-right corner to proceed through check out.
  5. Review your order.
  6. Select CHECK OUT.
  7. Log into your Navionics/Garmin account, if requested, or create one.
  8. Review and accept Terms and Conditions.
  9. Review/enter your billing address and select CONTINUE.
  10. Opt-in to Automatic Renewal (required).
  11. Enter billing information and select PLACE ORDER.

Install the Navionics® Boating app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

  1. Open your app store on your device.
  2. Search for Navionics® Boating. 
    (App icon displayed to right.)
  3. Select GET or INSTALL.
  4. Once installed, open the app and log in.

Subscriptions purchased through Garmin.com will connect directly through your account and may take time to populate within the app as it processes through our servers. 

Subscription renewals can be purchased starting up to 90 days prior to expiration. 

First-Time Purchase or Renewal Through the Navionics® Boating App

  1. Go to Menu > Subscriptions.
  2. Choose new coverage to purchase or existing coverage to renew.
    If you have existing coverage in-app and wish to add a new area, select Add Subscription, then choose new coverage.
  3. Select Subscribe Now.
  4. Review and accept Terms of Use.
  5. Confirm purchase.

Renewal of your subscription can be managed through your Apple or Google Play store account.

Renewal Through Garmin.com*

Customers who have chosen to opt-out of auto-renewal can renew their subscription starting up to 90 days prior to expiration. 
  1. Go to your Subscription Portal.
  2. Locate the subscription you wish to renew and select the RENEW button.
  3. Review your plan information and Terms and Conditions.
    If you are renewing a subscription before expiration, billing will occur on the Start Date of the new subscription.
  4. Select ACCEPT & CONTINUE.
  5. Review your subscription information.
  6. Review or add your billing address and credit card information.
  7. Select COMPLETE RENEWAL.

* For subscriptions originally purchased through Navionics.com or Garmin.com, and auto-renewal turned off.

Your Navionics Boating app subscription enables you to sign in to up to two devices at a time. Subscriptions are restored automatically through your Garmin Navionics account when you log in.
