Using the Surfline Widget With a Compatible Garmin Watch
This article will provide instructions to use the Surfline Widget on your compatible watch, listed below. With the new Surfline Widget, you will have quick access to the five nearest beaches and their surf conditions. These conditions include surf rating, tide, wave height and wind.
How to Install Surfline Widget
Download or open the Garmin Connect IQ Store app
- Tap Search
- Tap on the Search All
- Type in Surfline
Tap Install
Tap OK if a permissions window populates
The Surfline Widget will now sync content over to your Garmin watch.
How to Open the Installed Surfline Widget
After installing the Surfline Widget from the Connect IQ Store, a new widget will populate into your widget loop. To access the widget do the following:
- From the watchface, open the widget loop
- Locate the new widget and select it
To remove or add a widget see your owner's manual.
How to Update the Location
If the Surfline Widget does not provide the nearest beach from your location, do the following:
- Ensure that you are paired with your smartphone
- Open the Surfline widget
- Select update beaches
Surfline updates surf information twice a day once before sunrise and again in the afternoon.
