Installing the Latest Software Updates on the GPSMAP 66

In order to get the best performance out of your device, make sure to keep the software up to date. Software updates are free and easy to install. To update the software on your device, please use one of the following methods:

Garmin Connect App

The Garmin Connect App will only download software updates automatically behind the scenes while your device is connected to your mobile phone. There are no steps required to obtain the latest software. Once an update has been sent to the handheld, the handheld will automatically install the update, or prompt the user for further action. Garmin Express

Garmin Express provides the ability to check and offer software updates automatically each time you connect your device to the computer.   Follow the installation instructions through the link below.
