If you are experiencing an issue where the Garmin Jr. app is indicating that the watch is 'not found', 'disconnected', or 'unable to pair', make sure of the following:
The watch is kept in range next to the phone during the pairing process.
When prompted on your phone, enter the six-digit code displayed on the watch.
If you have paired the watch to another device such as another parent's phone or a tablet, make sure to either disable Bluetooth or turn off those other devices when pairing with a new device.
Troubleshooting Steps
Try each step below and check to see if your issue is resolved before proceeding to the next step.
Step 1: Restart Your Smartphone
Rebooting or power cycling your phone will sometimes solve pairing issues. If your issue remains proceed to step 2.
Step 2: Remove the Watch from Phone Bluetooth
Sometimes the watch may be paired directly with your phone and not the app. If this happens you could run into an issue when attempting to pair with the app. This step involves checking and removing the watch from your smartphone.
Step 3: Attempt to Pair the watch to the Garmin Jr. App Again.
Once pairing is complete check for and install any available software updates. See the following FAQ for help: Software Update Instructions for the vívofit jr. Series.
