- Accel. Time
- The total acceleration time in a segment
- Apex
- The point in your racing line closest to the inside of a curve
- Best Seq. Var.
- This statistic relates to your consistency
- The data shows your variability in lap times over your best 3 back-to-back laps during the recorded drive session
- Decel. Time
- The total deceleration time in a segment
- Delta
- Displays the time difference between the current lap and the best lap during the current session
- You can adjust the Delta Timer to compare the difference in time between your current lap and your personal best, session best, today's best, or optimal lap
- See Race Timer on the Garmin Catalyst for more info
- Drive Session
- When you start driving on a track, the device records detailed information about your driving statistics
- The device stops recording information for a Drive Session when you select END

- G-G Diagram
- A G-G diagram is a graphical representation of the G-forces on a vehicle in the lateral and longitudinal dimensions.
- It is used to evaluate the performance of a vehicle’s braking, acceleration, and cornering, and the transitions between each of those.
- The Garmin Catalyst sets the min/max measurements based on the g-forces measured within the session. For example if the session reaches 1.5g, then that will be the outer ring/max. If the session exceeds 2g, then the outer ring may display as 2.5g. The inner rings will represent 1/3 and 2/3 of the maximum value shown.
- Max. Accel.
- The maximum acceleration value in a segment
- Max. Decel.
- The maximum deceleration value in a segment
- Opportunities
- During a drive session, the device analyzes your performance and records opportunities for improvement
- Opportunities are coaching tips to help you decrease your lap time
- The opportunities page enables you to review opportunities and offers tips for improvement
- See the video below to learn more about opportunities
- Optimal Lap
- A lap synthesized from your best performances on each part of a given track
- The device combines your position and speed on the track to show you your best possible lap statistics based on your measured performance
- See the video below to learn more about the True Optimal Lap feature
- Segments
- Segments are small sections of a track
- Each segment contains information about a specific maneuver, such as a turn or straight
- Track segments are generated and defined by the device
- See the video below to learn more about reviewing laps and segments
- Straight Max
- The measured speed at the fastest point on the straight
- Top 3 Var.
- This statistic relates to your consistency
- The data shows your variability in lap times over your top 3 laps during the recorded drive session
- Top 5 Var.
- This statistic relates to your consistency
- The data shows your variability in lap times over your top 5 laps during the recorded drive session
- Track Configuration
- Race tracks often have more than one configuration or racing area layout
- These configurations can change in complexity or size
- You should speak with the staff at a racing facility or track to determine which track configuration you are using
- Track Out/Turn Rate
- The rate at which you were turning while exiting the corner of a race track in degrees per second
- Track Usage
- The percentage of track used on a segment
- Turn Entry
- The measured speed at the turn entry in a segment
- Turn Exit
- The measured speed at the turn exit in a segment
- Turn Minimum
- The measured speed at the slowest point of the turn in a segment
- Var.
- The variability in lap time for a drive session
