> Devices > Add Device.
Ensure the Varia is in pairing mode by holding the device key for 2 seconds until the LED flashes purple.
Select That's Mine or That's Not Mine to see other nearby available radars.

Can I Pair Multiple Devices to the Varia App?
The Varia app supports the pairing of multiple Varia devices that are compatible with the app. This feature allows both a Varia Vue headlight camera and rear radar to be paired at the same time, and the app forms a light network for both devices to be controlled. When both a Varia Vue and RCT715 are paired, the app will control both cameras as part of the light network as well.
Setting a Primary Device
If multiple headlights or taillights are paired to the Varia app, one of them will be set as the primary device. This is the only device that will connect to the Varia app. For example, if you have both an RCT715 and RTL515 paired to the app, and the RCT715 is set as the primary device, it will connect automatically when powered on while the RTL515 will not. To change the primary device:
In the Varia app, select
(top right).
Select Devices.
Select the device you would like to make the primary device.
Enable the Primary Device option.
What do the Radar Alerts Look Like in the App?
The Varia app will show the following screens regarding the status of the radar detection.
This will be the default screen when no threats are detected or the threats have passed.
As threats appear they will move up the screen and a yellow banner will indicate the vehicle approaching. The app can display multiple targets at a time. Threats moving at a higher rate of speed than the normal flow of approaching traffic will display with a red banner and a bold line.
What Sounds Will I Hear?
You will be alerted with tones as threats are detected. There will be two tones for the yellow level threat and three for a quickly approaching vehicle. These tones will be played through the phone's external speaker or connected headphones. You can enable "Green Level Threat Zone" tones in the app to hear a lighter tone when the threats have passed:
NOTE: The Varia App must be open or running in the background to receive alert tones.
Open the menu.
Android: Select
iOS: Select
Select Sounds & Alerts.
Toggle Green Level Threat Zone on or off.
How Do I Know How Much Battery My Radar Has?
When connected to the Varia App, your compatible Varia will show the color coded battery level in the upper left corner.
0-15%: Red
16-33%: Yellow
33% and up: Green
What is the Vault in the Varia App?
The Varia app allows you to automatically upload your saved or locked footage from a Varia Vue headlight camera to the Garmin Vault. When connected to a wall charger and within range of a saved Wi-Fi® network, locked footage will auto upload to your Vault. You can also upload unsaved videos from your Varia to the Vault directly from the app. See Using the Vault in the Varia App for more information on the Vault.
Can I Control My Lights or Camera in the Varia App?
The Varia app will form a light network with a connected headlight and taillight, allowing for control over the lights and cameras of the connected devices.
