How to Operate the Fusion® Handheld Microphone
The Fusion® Handheld Microphone can be connected to a Fusion stereo and play audio over the sound system. Once connected, the stereo must be configured to use the microphone.
To configure the stereo for use with the microphone
- Select Menu
> SETTINGS > TELEMUTE > AUX1
The stereo will now switch the source to AUX1 when using the microphone.
Avoiding feedback when using the microphone
Having grouping enabled for the microphone source can sometimes cause feedback. This can be disabled on the Fusion stereo.
- Select Menu
> SETTINGS > SOURCE > AUX1 > GROUP ENABLED
With this setting disabled, the microphone will be unavailable to play over a Fusion PartyBus network. This also reduces chances of feedback and delayed audio.
Notes:
- When activated, the telemute wire switches the stereo to AUX1 so the microphone RCA cables must be connected to AUX1 to work properly
- Microphone gain can be adjusted via the AUX1 source
- The microphone should not be used in front of any speakers or feedback may be heard
- After keying the microphone, wait 2 seconds before speaking to avoid having the beginning of the announcement cut off
