Using TrainingPeaks Structured Workouts on a Garmin Device
Linking your Garmin Connect™ account with a TrainingPeaks account will allow you to sync future cycling, running, and swimming workouts.
NOTE: If your TrainingPeaks workout has an RPE (rate of perceived exertion) target, both the primary target and any secondary cadence target will not be displayed once the workout is synced through Connect to your device. This is because RPE is not a supported metric in Garmin Connect or on Garmin devices.
Workouts can be created using the Structured Workout Builder on the TrainingPeaks website. Once you have a workout created, TrainingPeaks will use the auto-sync feature to send the workout over to your Garmin Connect Calendar. From there you can send the workout to your compatible Garmin Device. These specific workouts will show up under Training Plans or Training Calendar in your Garmin account. NOTE: Garmin Connect will not display the step details for third party workouts, including those from TrainingPeaks.
A "Built" workout shown in TrainingPeaks displays a gray profile bar indicating any intervals (if any) in the workout. "Non-built" workouts will not have a gray profile bar and will not sync over to the Garmin Connect calendar. See the image below:

If you are still not seeing your workouts in Garmin Connect, you may need to disconnect and reconnect the TrainingPeaks connection in your Garmin Connect account. Choose the option below to reveal steps to do this.
Steps to Disconnect and Reconnect
Step 1: Check the Garmin Connect Status Page
From the Garmin Connect Status page, the Third Party Sync status will indicate if an issue exists. If the status indicates there is a problem, check back on the status of the issue until it is resolved. If the status is green, proceed to step #2.
Step 2: Remove the Third-Party Site
From a web browser, sign into your Garmin Connect account.
Select Profile & Account in the top right corner.
Select Account Settings.
Select Account Information.
Under Applications, select Disconnect for TrainingPeaks.
