Pairing a Compatible Wind Sensors to a Watch with Applied Ballistics

Some Garmin® devices are able to pair with compatible wind sensors.1 The wind sensor must support BLE (Bluetooth® Low Energy) to pair with the watch.

Adding a Wind Sensor

Place your wind sensor in pairing mode, then follow the steps below on your watch.

NOTE: Calypso wind sensors can only pair to one device at a time.

  1. Hold Middle left button.

  2. Scroll down or select Settings.

  3. Select Sensors & Accessories.

  4. Select Add New+.

  5. Select Other.

  6. Locate and select the wind sensor.


Using the Wind Sensor with Applied Ballistics on Your Watch

  1. Press Upper right button to open the activity list. 

  2. Select Applied Ballistics.

  3. Press Upper right button.

  4. Select Environment.

  5. Choose Auto Update, or make changes to individual items. 

    • Options: Wind Speed 1, Wind Speed 2, Wind Direction, Temperature, Amb/Stn Pressure, and Humidity. 

Once paired, the wind sensor will show as connected in the sensor menu. 


Having Problems Connecting?

If you are having an issue where the wind sensor will not pair, or was previously paired and has stopped working, try the following:

  1. Ensure the sensor is not paired to another device.

  2. Make sure that the sensor is charged.

  3. Make sure that the software is up to date on both devices.

  4. Power cycle the Garmin watch.
