"Error Installing the Update" Message in Garmin Express for Kenwood Systems

If a software update is available for a Kenwood, it must be performed before the map update. Trying to do the map update first will result in an "Error Installing the Update" message in Garmin Express. See Update Maps and Software on a Kenwood Device for instructions on updating.
