(2024) Service Bulletin 23036 Rev B: Approval of Part 23 GTX 345(R) Series ADS-B Software Version 3.41

PRODUCTS AFFECTED:

GTX 345(R) Series units installed using Part 23 ADS-B AML STC SA01714WI are affected.

COMPLIANCE:

Recommended: Compliance with Service Bulletin 23036 is recommended at the next scheduled maintenance interval.

PURPOSE:

This STC Service Bulletin provides notification of an update to STC SA01714WI, GTX 3X5(R) with ADS-B AML STC, MDL Revision 22.

MDL Revision 5 approves GTX 3X5 ADS-B Software Version 3.41:

• Corrected an issue described in Garmin Service Advisory 23009 that prevents the appearance of some traffic targets while the Basic Surface Situation Awareness (SURF) application is active.
  
• Corrected an issue where some 1090ES ADS-B and ADS-R surface targets may erroneously appear as directional.
  
• Removed transmittal of Non-Performing Emitter (NPE) traffic data from HSDB to other connected Garmin devices.
  

NOTE
This addresses a traffic display compatibility issue in some G3X™ installations as described in Garmin Service Advisory 23023. NPE data is still transmitted using Connext® over wired serial interfaces and Bluetooth.

There are no new aircraft models or functionality being added to the STC SA01714WI.
