Sending a LiveTrack or MapShare Link From an inReach Mini 2

Depending on which feature you have enabled on your account, a LiveTrack™ page link or a MapShare™ page link can be sent to friends and family directly from an inReach® Mini 2 satellite communicator after tracking has been started so that they may follow your progress. If you are using the MapShare feature and have set a password for your MapShare page, the password is included automatically when you use the share feature from the website, the device, or the mobile app.

NOTE: Before attempting to send your tracking link, either the LiveTrack or MapShare feature should be enabled and configured in your inReach account. If you attempt to send your tracking link prior to enabling either of these features, the message "You cannot use MapShare until you give consent at explore.garmin.com to post your data online" will be sent to your inReach device and will count as one received message on your monthly invoice. Sending a MapShare Link From an inReach Mini 2 Handheld

1. From the home page, press OK to open the main menu.

2. Select Start Tracking.

3. Press OK to open the options menu.

4. Select Share With.

5. Select one or more contacts from the list.

6. Scroll up and select Next.

7. Enter your message:

   • Select Type Message. A default message of I'm starting my trip. Follow along here! will be pre-filled. You can edit or add to this message, if desired. A link to either your LiveTrack page or your MapShare page will be included with the message.

   • Scroll down and select one of your Quick Texts from the list.

8. Select .

9. Select Send.
