Using Garmin Pay to Make Connect IQ Store Purchases

You can now add any major credit or debit card to your wallet to make app purchases using Garmin Pay™ in the Connect IQ™ store.1 Any purchased content will be available for download to any compatible registered device on your account after the initial purchase. 

Connect IQ Payment Requirements

You must meet each of the following requirements in order to use Garmin Pay to purchase apps in the Connect IQ store. 

  • The latest version of the Garmin Connect™ app.

  • The latest version of the Connect IQ app.

  • A credit or debit card issued through Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express or other major payment network added to your Garmin Wallet.

  • A compatible Garmin device from the list below.

Purchasing a Connect IQ App Using Garmin Pay

The video below walks through the steps for purchasing a paid app using the Connect IQ™ Store app and your Garmin Wallet. Written steps can be found below the video. 

  1. Open the Garmin Connect IQ Store app.

  2. Search for Connect IQ features using one of the options below:

    • Select Search to search by title, or filter categories.

    • Select IQ Store icon to access the main menu and find popular Connect IQ content.

      NOTE: Contents of the main screen depend on the Garmin device you currently have selected. Not all of the Connect IQ features are supported on each Garmin device. Steps to change your device can be found below.

  3. After selecting the content, select the purchase amount button.

  4. Select Allow for app permissions that may be required.

  5. Select Continue to pay with your Garmin device. 

    • If asked to Set Up Garmin Pay, select Continue.

      1. Add a card.

      2. Verify your card details and select Submit.

      3. Select Continue once your card is verified.

  6. Select one of the following:

    • Use this card to complete the transaction with the card details on screen.

    • Change Card to use a different card. 

  7. Press Green Checkmark to confirm payment.

The Connect IQ content will be added to your sync queue. The content will be installed the next time your device syncs with the Garmin Connect™ app or Garmin Express™ program.

Changing the Selected Device in the Connect IQ Store App

  1. Open the Connect IQ Store app.

  2. Select Device (bottom right).

  3. Select the Three blue dots stacked vertically in the top right.

  4. Choose Select a Device.

  5. Select the Garmin device you want to use.

  6. Select IQ Store to return to the main menu.


Checking Available Space on Your Garmin Device

  1. Open the Connect IQ Store app.

  2. Select Device in the bottom right.

  3. Beneath Installed Apps you will see the number of apps currently installed, and how much space is remaining. Storage space and app capacity varies by device model.

Although it is possible to request a refund within the first 48 hours after purchase, it is highly recommended to contact the developer regarding any issues to see if the developer can correct them for you.

To Request a Refund

NOTE: The instructions below do not apply to purchased content with a Payment or Payment Required tag on the app page. For these purchases, contact the app developer for more details on how to refund the service.

Connect IQ Store App
  1. Select your profile icon in the upper left.

  2. Select Purchases.

  3. Select the app you want to refund.

  4. Select Report a Problem.

  5. Select Request a Refund.

  6. Enter in the details on the reason for your refund request.

  7. Select Next.

  8. Select Submit.

Connect IQ Store Web
  1. Visit the Connect IQ Web store.

  2. Click Log in and enter your email and password.

  3. Select your profile icon in the upper right.

  4. Select Account Settings.

  5. Select Three gray dots to the right of the purchased app.

  6. Select Request a Refund.


Updating Payment Information in Garmin Wallet

Use the following instructions to update payment information in your Garmin Wallet:
  1. Visit the Connect IQ Web store.

  2. Click Log in and enter your email and password.

  3. Select your profile icon in the upper right.

  4. Select Account Settings.

  5. Select Garmin Wallet

  6. Select Add Payment Card

  7. Follow onscreen instructions to update payment information.


Why am I Unable to Find Select Connect IQ Content?

Depending on your region, some content may not be available for purchase due to licensing restrictions.
