Sleep Mode Display Timeout on the Xero X1i
The Xero X1i Crossbow Scope has many systems that draw power from the batteries, but the display is one of the most draining aspects of using the device. As such, the main purpose of Sleep Mode on the Xero X1i is to help reduce battery drain and conserve power. Factors such as battery type and external temperatures can also affect battery drain and or settings for Sleep Mode.
Changing Sleep Mode Settings
- From the main menu, select
- Select DISPLAY
- Select TIMEOUT
- Choose a time option
- 20 sec, 30 sec, 1 min, 2 min, or 5 min
To exit Sleep Mode, press any button, including the trigger button, to wake the unit up and resume normal operations.
Important Notes About Sleep Mode
- After 16 hours of inactivity, the Xero X1i will power itself off regardless of the timeout option chose. This is NOT a recommend method of powering down the unit for storage.
- In temperatures below freezing, the Xero X1i automatically adjusts to a maximum timeout setting of 1 minute, if a higher option was previously set. A "cold weather" icon will appear in the display when this has occurred.
- If the normal screen timeout is already set to 20 seconds or 30 seconds then there will not be a difference in cold temperatures. If the screen timeout is set to 1 minute, 2 minutes, or 5 minutes, then the timeout would change to 30 seconds in cold temperatures.
