Chartplotters that can Control a Garmin Autopilot Without a GHC

After a certain software revision, chartplotters will gain access to setup and control Garmin Autopilots without needing a GHC™ autopilot controller present. The following chartplotters are capable of accessing this feature:

• ECHOMAP™ UHD 6x chartplotters | ECHOMAP™  UHD 7x chartplotters | ECHOMAP™ UHD 9x chartplotters

• ECHOMAP™ UHD2 6x chartplotters | ECHOMAP™ UHD2 7x chartplotters | ECHOMAP™ UHD2 9x chartplotters

• ECHOMAP™ Ultra chartplotters

• ECHOMAP™ Ultra 2 chartplotters

• GPSMAP® 7x2 chartplotters | GPSMAP® 7x3 chartplotters | GPSMAP® 9x2 chartplotters | GPSMAP® 9x3 chartplotters

In order to enable the Autopilot feature use the following steps:

1. Select Home

2. Select Settings

3. Select System

4. Select Station Information

5. Select Autopilot Enabled

6. Turn Autopilot Enabled On

The entire echoMAP, echoMAP CHIRP, and ECHOMAP Plus series will automatically enable the Autopilot application once a Garmin Autopilot source is detected. 

NOTE: It is still recommended to have a GHC present in the installation.
