Is a Navigation Chart Needed if using a Garmin Quickdraw™ Survey?

A navigation chart is required for navigating charted waters. A Garmin Quickdraw™ map does not supply sufficient information for this purpose. BlueChart® g3 charts include additional information published by government agencies providing supplemental data to the paper charts. Quickdraw mapping provides contours and is not designed as a replacement for a published navigation chart. LakeVü ™ charts and BlueChart g3 charts give a far superior out of the box experience; just insert the card and go.
