How Weather and the Environment Impact Use on the Xero S1

Weather and other environmental conditions will impact the use of the Xero® S1 trapshooting trainer. While it has a IPX7 water rating, the camera and built-in Radar technology are impacted by certain weather conditions or where the unit is setup.

• Night
  • The Xero S1 trainer will work at night as long as the field is completely lighted
• Rain
  • Water on the front plate will cause the device to be start missing shots; wiping it down before the shot will help
• Wind
  • Wind causes the unit to be less accurate, especially if combined with cloudy conditions or moving trees in the background
• Snow
  • Like rain snow causes poor hit and miss detection
• Background (What is behind the clay launching field)
  • The background is color is close to the same clay color being used
    • Xero S1 trainer tracks orange, green, and pink clays
  • Trees closer than 60 yards
• Tall grass in front of the unit
