(2023) Service Alert 22033 Rev B: AHRS Reset On Takeoff
REVISION B:
Added RESOLUTION
PRODUCTS AFFECTED:
All GSU 75, GRS 79, GMC 605, and TXi systems installed in 2016 and after are affected.
ISSUE:
One or both AHRS may reset during take off when the aircraft makes the final turn onto the runway with a calibrated airspeed of greater than 25 knots.
ACTION:
For systems where all attitude information is sourced from one of the affected AHRS products (no independent attitude standby instrument), calibrated airspeed must be limited to 10 knots during the final turn onto the runway.
Garmin also recommends limiting calibrated airspeed to 10 knots during the final turn onto the runway in all other aircraft with a GSU 75, GRS 79, GMC 605, and TXi systems. Be prepared to use the standby attitude source for up to 60 seconds as the primary attitude displays recover.
RESOLUTION:
This has been fixed in GSU 75/GRS 79 AHRS Software Version 2.12.
For G500/G600 TXi systems refer to Garmin TSO Service Bulletin 22121.
For G500/G600 TXi systems installed using STC SA02571SE, refer to Garmin STC Service Bulletin 23004.
