Return for Repair an Out-of-Warranty Aviation Product

Please take the following steps to receive service on an out-of-warranty product.

All certified products must be returned through an authorized Garmin Aviation Service Center for service.


Step 1: Get an RMA number and arrange payment.

For portable or non-certified products, contact Aviation Product Support (contact information is below this article) to request a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and arrange payment. You will need to provide the device serial number, a return shipping address, and a daytime telephone number.

Certified avionics products require an authorized person to return the aircraft system to service after product repair. Please request an RMA through an authorized Garmin Aviation Service Center.


Step 2: Send Us the Device

Along with the RMA number, Aviation Product Support will give you a dock number to include in the shipping address. Ship the device (insured) to one of the following addresses. It is very important to include your RMA number and the assigned dock number.
