Can I Transfer Purchased Downloaded Content From One Garmin Outdoor Device to Another?
Downloadable content, such as BirdsEye Satellite Imagery subscriptions, City Navigator® road maps,1 or TOPO maps are non-transferable. If you own multiple Garmin devices or purchased a new device from a source other than Garmin, new content will need to be purchased for each device. There are a few exceptions, outlined below.
Exceptions
If you fall under one of the exceptions below, contact Product Support by clicking the link at the bottom of the article and provide the requested information:
Device was exchanged through a dealer.
Requested document: A receipt documenting the exchange is required.
You are a victim of theft and the Garmin device was stolen.
Requested document: A police report needs to be provided.
Device was exchanged or upgraded through Garmin.
Requested document: Order number, Return Material Authorization (RMA) number, or personal information associated with the order, such as name, email, or phone number.
You are using an Outdoor Maps+ subscription.
One subscription can be used to download Outdoor Maps+ content simultaneously to any of your registered compatible Garmin devices via Wi-Fi.
1 Lifetime Map Updates (LMU) associated with a previously unlocked City Navigator DVD map cannot be transferred under any circumstances due to the age of these map products and that they have been discontinued.
