Add and Remove 'Connections' in Garmin Connect
Garmin Connect allows you to share your activities and compete in online challenges with other users by managing Connections. Choose your option below for details on how to add and remove an individual from Connections through either the Garmin Connect App or Garmin Connect Web.
In the Garmin Connect App
To add an individual to Connections:
Open the Garmin Connect App
- Open the Menu:
- Android: Select
(upper left) iOS: Select More (lower right)
- Android: Select
Select Connections
Select
Input the Connect user's full name or username (case sensitive) in the search bar
Select Connect next to desired username
User will receive an add request, and there should now be a "Pending" (Android) or "Request sent" (iOS) next to their name
To remove an individual from Connections:
Open Garmin Connect App
- Open the Menu:
- Android: Touch (upper left)
iOS: Touch More (lower right)
- Android: Touch
Select Connections
Select the name of the connection you wish to remove
Select Connected
Select Disconnect (Android) or Remove Connection (iOS)
In Garmin Connect Web
To add an individual to Connections:
Sign into Garmin Connect
Select Connections from the navigation bar on the left
Select
Input the Connect user's full name or username (case sensitive) in the search bar
Select Connect next to desired username
User will receive an add request, and there should now be a "Request sent" next to their name
To remove an individual from Connections:
Sign into Garmin Connect
Select Connections from the navigation bar on the left
Select Connected next to the name of the connection you wish to remove
Select Disconnect
NOTE: There is typically a limit of 1000 Connect contacts, but if there are no devices associated with your account the limit will be only 5 Connect contacts. In either case, if the limit for Connect contacts is reached you will receive the error "You have reached the maximum of 1000 Connect contacts. Try removing some in order to invite more." when using the Garmin Connect app or, if you are using Garmin Connect Web, the request to add Connect contacts will not be sent.
