Creating and Editing Contacts on the Garmin Explore Website
The contact list in your inReach device works like a phonebook, allowing you to quickly send messages without spending time typing out an email address or phone number.
IMPORTANT: For changes made to contacts to be visible on the inReach device, the inReach must be synced after making changes. For information on syncing, see - Updating inReach Firmware and Syncing Account Changes with inReach Sync

Adding a New Contact
Adding contacts to your inReach account and syncing them to the inReach device and Earthmate app allows for composing messages faster.
- Log in at the Garmin Explore Website
- IMPORTANT: You must log in the account that is assigned to the inReach device you want to add contacts for
- Select Contacts
- Select Add
- Enter the contact's information
- Note: To be valid, a contact must have the First Name, Last Name, and at least one of these fields entered: Email, inReach Addr, or Mobile Phone. Select a country code when entering a Mobile Phone number
- Select Done
- Repeat steps 3 through 5 for each contact to be added
- Sync the device when done
Editing a Contact
If the information for one of the contacts on your account changes, update the contact by editing their information.
- Log in at the Garmin Explore Website
- IMPORTANT: You must log in the account that is assigned to the inReach device you want to edit contacts for
- Select Contacts
- Under YOUR PERSONAL CONTACTS, click the name of the contact to be edited
- Select Edit
- Update the contact information
- Note: To be valid, a contact must have the First Name, Last Name, and at least one of these fields entered: Email, inReach Addr, or Mobile Phone. Select a country code when entering a Mobile Phone number

- Select Done
- Repeat steps 3 through 6 for each contact to be edited
- Sync the device when done
Deleting a Contact
Use the instructions below to remove a contact from an inReach online account.
- Log in at Garmin Explore Website
- IMPORTANT: You must log in the account that is assigned to the inReach device you want to delete contacts for
- Select Contacts
- Under YOUR PERSONAL CONTACTS, click the name of the contact to be deleted
- Select Edit
- Select Delete
- In the Delete Contact window, select Delete
- Repeat steps 3 through 6 for each contact to be deleted
- Sync the device when done
