Configuring Wi-Fi Settings for an Outdoor Watch
Some Garmin outdoor watches1 have the ability to connect to a Wi-Fi network, allowing the device to automatically upload saved activities, and download available software updates.
In order to configure the Wi-Fi settings on your device, you can use either Garmin Express or Garmin Connect Mobile. Instructions on installing Garmin Express or adding Wi-Fi with Garmin Connect Mobile, see the Related Content at the bottom of this FAQ.
Adding a Wi-Fi network to a device in Garmin Express during initial setup2
- Attach device to computer
- Select Get Started or Add a Device in Garmin Express
- Select Add a Device
- Sign In or Create an Account
- Select Next (can select check box for sending anonymous data to Garmin)
- Select Find Networks
- Select the desired network
- Input password (if required)
- Select Save
- Select Finish
Adding a Wi-Fi network to a device already in Garmin Express
- Launch Garmin Express
- Select Device
- Select Tools & Content
- Select Utilities
- Select Add a Network
- Select the desired network
- Input password (if required)
- Select Save
The Wi-Fi settings have now been transferred to your device.
