How Do I Add Weather Locations to My Garmin Watch

Some newer watches allow you to add city weather locations from the weather widget. This feature is currently available on the following models:

Adding Weather Locations

  1. Swipe or scroll to the Weather glance in your glance loop.

  2. Select the Weather glance.

  3. Press START/STOP or swipe from the right to the left.

  4. Select Add Location.

  5. Select Cities. 

  6. Select a nearby city or one of the following options:

    • Select Map.

    • Search Near.

    • Enter Search.

      NOTE: A message may come up to use your phone as a keyboard. If you prefer to type in on the watch tap the message.

    • Around Me

  7. Select the location to add it.

Changing Weather Locations

  1. Swipe or scroll to the Weather glance in your glance loop.

  2. Select the Weather glance.

  3. Press START/STOP or swipe from the right to the left.

  4. Select either Current Location, or the location you wish to see.

My Device Is Not on the Compatibility List, But Still Gets Weather

If you have a device not included in the compatibility list, that device will have a weather setting in your Garmin Connect™ app. See steps below:

  1. Open the Garmin Connect app.

  2. Select More (bottom right).

  3. Select Settings.

  4. Select User Settings.

  5. Set your Weather preferences. 

NOTE: This settings will only correspond to the older watch that is not on the compatibility list.
