Capturing a Screenshot on an Edge Device
Many Edge® cycling computer's have the capability of saving images on the screen on most pages and screen operations. View the steps below for your Edge.
Edge® 510 | Edge® 810 | Edge® 820 | Edge® 1000 | Edge® Explore | Edge® Explore 820 | Edge® Explore 1000
Select the setup menu (tool or 3 line icon).
Press System.
Press Display.
Press Screen Capture.
Select On.
Press Ok or check-mark on message screen.
Press and release the Lap button.
When the beep is heard a screenshot is captured.
Edge® 530 | Edge® 800 | Edge® 830 | Edge® 1030 | Edge® 1030 Plus
Select the setup menu (tool or 3 line icon).
Press System.
Press Display.
Press Screen Capture.
Select On.
Press Ok or check-mark on message screen.
Press and release the Power button.

From the Ride Screen press Down key to access Menu.
Select Settings.
Select System.
Select Display.
Select Screen Capture to toggle on.
- Quick-press the Lap button.

Edge® 540 | Edge® 540 Solar
From the Home Screen press and hold the upper right button to access the menu.
Select System.
Select Display.
Select Screen Capture to toggle On.

Select the three line menu icon in the bottom right.
Select System.
Select Display.
Select Screen Capture to toggle on.
- Press and release the Power button.
When the beep is heard a screenshot is captured.
To View the Screen Capture(s) On a Computer
Choose a platform below for details:
Connect the Edge to your computer.
Open your File Explorer on the computer using one of the following methods.
Press the
and the letter 'E' at the same time.Select the search bar on your task bar then type 'File Explorer' and select that program.
Select This PC on the left side panel.
Open your Edge drive.
Open the GARMIN folder.
Open the Scrn folder.
Any screen capture saved from a device will be located in this folder as a .bmp file.
