Checking the Software Version of a Tread App on an Android Phone or iPhone

The Tread App should be kept up-to-date in order to take advantage of new features, improvements, and bug fixes.  Updates are free and easy to install.  Check for updates to the Garmin Drive App through your mobile phone or tablet's Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

NOTE: These steps can vary. See the owner's manual of your phone if the steps below don't work on your phone.

Check for Updates to the Tread App:

The installed version number of the Tread App can be found on the phone itself if the app will not launch.

To Locate the Software Version of the Tread App:

iOS:

1. Open the phone's Settings menu
2. Touch General
3. Touch iPhone Storage
4. Touch Tread

Android version 7 or older:

1. Open the phone's Settings menu
2. Touch Apps
3. Touch Tread

Android version 8 or newer:

1. Open the phone's Settings menu
2. Touch Apps or Apps & Notifications
3. Touch App Info (Some phones skip this step)
4. Touch Tread
