Repairing your own Garmin Device

Garmin products are complex electronics that contain sensitive components. Most Garmin products do not contain user-serviceable parts. We do not provide repair parts or instructions because:

  • Special skills and training are required to properly and safely repair complex electronics
  • Expensive tools and test equipment are required to complete repairs to factory specifications
  • Costs for stocking all individual components would make spare parts too expensive
  • Repair manuals and schematics are expensive to create and rarely used

We have found it is more cost-effective to refurbish or overhaul our products in the same factories where we manufacture them. We then use the overhauled products to replace customer products that need repair.

While there are a few customers who would like to replace parts in their Garmin, there is not enough interest to support a spare parts market.
