Setting up the Dexcom Connect IQ Data Field

Once the Dexcom Data Field has been downloaded from the Garmin Connect IQ™ store, there are some steps to complete in order to see your glucose number recorded by your Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitoring System on your Garmin device. The Dexcom apps in the Connect IQ Store are software-only applications for compatible Garmin smartwatches and Edge® cycling computers, intended to provide a secondary display of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) data to users of compatible Dexcom continuous glucose monitors for the purposes of passive monitoring.

The Dexcom Data Field shows blood glucose levels and trends during an activity on your compatible Garmin device. Below are samples of what you may see along side your activity information:

Dexcom Data Fields on watches and Edge

Dexcom apps are available for customers with a compatible Garmin device in select Regions. For details see Garmin Dexcom Connect IQ App Region Compatibility. You can also visit https://www.garmin.com/DexcomUse for more information.

Setting Up The Dexcom Data Field

To complete the setup, your Garmin device must be connected in the Garmin Connect™ app on your smartphone. For pairing instructions, refer to your owner's manual.

Select your device below to reveal instructions for setting up the Dexcom Connect IQ data field:

D2™ Air X10 Watch

Press Start and select an activity profile.
Swipe up to access the profile settings.
Select Settings.
Select Data Screens.
Select a screen to customize.
Select Edit Data Fields.
Select a data field to customize.
Select Connect IQ Fields.
Select Dexcom Data Field.
Press the back button four times to return to the activity profile home page.
Swipe up to access the profile menu.
Select Connect IQ Fields.
Select Dexcom Data Field.
Select OK to begin the sign-in process.
Scroll through and accept Usage Notice.
Open the Garmin Connect app when prompted.
- Android: The Dexcom login page automatically opens.
- iOS: Select Sign In on the Dexcom login prompt.
Sign in with your Dexcom username and password.
Accept the usage terms and e-sign.
Return to your watch to complete the sign-in process.

You have now enabled the Dexcom data field on your watch.

Edge® Cycling Computers

Edge® 530

From the home screen, press the Down button to access the menu.
Select Settings.
Select Activity Profiles.
Select a profile.
Select Data Screens.
Select a screen to customize.
Select Layout and Data Fields.
Select a layout.
Select a data field to customize.
Select Connect IQ.
Select Dexcom Data Field.
Select Yes to edit data field settings.
Select OK to begin the sign-in process.
Scroll through and accept the Usage Notice.
Open the Garmin Connect app when prompted.
- Android: The Dexcom login page opens automatically.
- iOS: Select Sign In on the Dexcom login prompt.
Sign in with your Dexcom username and password.
Accept the usage terms and e-sign.
Return to your Edge to complete the sign-in process.

Select to confirm layout.
Select the location of the field you would like.
Select Connect IQ.
Select Dexcom Data Field.
Select to confirm the data field settings.
Select OK to begin the sign-in process.
Scroll through and accept the Usage Notice.
Open the Garmin Connect app when prompted.
- Android: The Dexcom login page opens automatically.
- iOS: Select Sign In on the Dexcom login prompt.
Sign in with your Dexcom username and password.
Accept the usage terms and e-sign.
Return to your Edge to complete the sign-in process.
