Tread Baja Edition Team Tracking

You can use the Team Tracking feature on your Tread® XL - Baja Race Edition or Tread® XL - Baja Chase Edition gps navigator to record track points and transmit them over the Iridium satellite network. Your team members can view your location while inReach Team Tracking is enabled.

Team Tracking requires an active inReach Flex Team subscription subscription. See Pro Team Tracking Activation for instructions.

NOTES:

• Team Tracking Intervals will display the location of the devices(s) in your Garmin Explore™ account Group you are tracking.

• Team Tracking Interval is the time between update requests, users should expect additional data transfer times and are based on the Flex Team Plan associated with the device(s). 

  • Team Tracking Interval ranges can only be changed by changing the Flex Team Plan associated with the device.

• inReach® satellite communicators using the Garmin Explore™ app or Garmin Messenger™ app can contribute to Team Tracking, but cannot participate in group messaging or act as the Team Tracking Receiver. 

• The maximum number of Tread Baja Edition devices that can be tracked via Team Tracking is 20.

Starting Team Tracking:

1. Touch Team Tracking

2. Touch the Start Tracking icon

Using the Chase Map to View Group/Team Members

1. Touch Chase Map 

2. Touch the Group/Team Members icon

3. To view a group/team member's location, touch the desired user name

Sending/Receiving Race Messages

1. Touch Team Tracking

2. Touch the desired Group/Team message thread

• • The thread will be named after the group name created by the Garmin Explore administrator account. 

3. Touch Race Messages or Reply

Race Messages

Race Messages can be used to choose a preloaded message.

• Select a message and touch Send

• Touch the wrench icon to edit the preset messages

 

• • Use the icons on the right to reorder the messages

 

• • Touch the plus icon to create a new preset message

 

4. Messages will appear in the message thread

1. Touch the space below the Message icon

2. Touch Race Messages or Reply
