I Do Not Immediately Receive Messages Sent to my inReach

In order to achieve maximum battery life an inReach device will only communication to the Iridium satellite network when sending a track point or a message or once every 20 minutes on its own. The inReach will only receive a message if it is turned on, in clear view of open sky, and connected to the Iridium network. 

When the inReach is switched on it and in clear view of the sky it may still take up to 20 minutes for a message to be received.

To expedite receipt of a message sent to an inReach device, activate tracking on the inReach or send a message to prompt the device to open communications with the Iridium satellite network and check for any queued incoming messages.
