Pairing inReach for Smartphones With an iOS Device

You must pair your inReach with an iOS mobile device (iPhone, iPod, or iPad) to use them together.

The Earthmate iOS App can be paired only with the inReach for Smartphones or inReach SE/Explorer, it cannot be pairedwith the inReach for PN-60w.

Note: Only the inReach 1.5 is compatible iOS devices. The version number is on the side label of the device. For a list of compatible mobile devices, visit delorme.com/inreach.

Pairing with inReach

1. Tap the Settings app  of your iOS device.
   
   
2. Tap Bluetooth.
   
   
   
3. If Bluetooth is not currently turned on, tap the OFF slider to enable it.
   
4. Hold down the power button on the inReach device until the light above the power button flashes twice per second. The inReach device will appear in the list of Bluetooth devices.
   
   
   
5. Tap on the inReach device in the list of Bluetooth devices. The inReach and iOS device will now connect to each other.
   
   
   
6. Press the home button to return to the home page of the iOS device. 
   Launch the Earthmate app .
   Note: The Earthmate app is a free download from the App Store℠.
   
   
   
7. The inReach page of the app will now show inReach Connected.
