Installing the Garmin Drive App

The Garmin Drive App is a free smartphone application which allows you to connect a compatible automotive device and a compatible smartphone in order to add additional live features to your Garmin device through your phone's existing mobile data plan, such as weather, traffic and more.

Contact your mobile service provider for more information about your service plan’s data and roaming rates.

To install and setup the Garmin Drive App on an Apple device:

Support: Drive App Setup on an Apple Device with a DriveSmart 55/65

1. Touch the App Store icon on the phone
2. Touch the App Store search bar at the top
3. Type "Garmin Drive", then touch Search
4. Find the Garmin Drive app  in the list of search results
5. Touch GET

After the download completes, the app is ready to open and to be paired with your Garmin device. Instructions to pair the device with your smartphone can be found in the device's Owner's Manual.

1. Touch the Play Store iconon the phone
2. Touch Google Play search bar at the top
3. Type "Garmin Drive"
4. Select the Garmin Drive app  from the list of search results
5. Touch Install

After the download completes, the app is ready to open and to be paired with your Garmin device. Instructions to pair the device with your smartphone can be found in the device's Owner's Manual.
