Overview of the Garmin Explore Website

The Garmin Explore website is used for activating service on new inReach devices, maintaining your account, and viewing user map data. It now features the ability to sync data from other Garmin devices, like the Overlander, Tread, and zumo XT.

When visiting this page for the first time, you will need to select one of the options under the Create an Account heading depending on whether you are activating service for an inReach handheld device, or connecting another Garmin device. After selecting one of these options, the website will walk you through the initial setup process.

Once the Account Setup Process is Completed, you can do the Following for all Devices:

• View your device data on a map.
• Create waypoints and routes to sync to your device.
• Sync your device and mobile device.
  • Syncing Data.
  • Overlander Device Only - Garmin Explore app for other Garmin devices.

For inReach Devices only, These Services are also Available:

• Monitor monthly usage.
• View your conversation history.
• Add people to your contacts (including emergency contacts).
• Set up your check-in/preset and quick text messages.
• Set up your social media accounts (including your MapShare web page).
• Changing an inReach Subscription Plan.
