Tracking an inReach Device from the Tread XL - Baja Chase or Race Edition

These steps are for the use case of tracking another inReach device, such as an inReach Mini, from the display of a Tread XL - Baja Chase and/or Tread XL - Race Edition device.


This means the inReach device can be seen by the Tread XL - Baja Chase and/or Tread XL - Race Edition device but the inReach device will not see the location of the Tread XL - Baja Chase and/or Tread XL - Race Edition device.

NOTES:

  • Both the inReach device and the Tread XL - Baja Chase and/or Tread XL - Race Edition device must be in the same Group for the Team Tracking feature to work.  
  • Team Tracking Intervals will display the location of the devices(s) in your Explore account Group you are tracking.
  • Team Tracking Interval is the time between update requests, users should expect additional data transfer times and are based on the Flex Team Plan associated with the device(s). 
    • Team Tracking Interval ranges can only be changed by changing the Flex Team Plan associated with the device.

Step 1:

The Tread XL - Baja Chase and/or Tread XL - Race Edition device must be on a Professional Account with an active Flex Team plan.  See Pro/Flex Team Tracking Activation. 

Step 2:

To track an inReach device on a Tread XL - Baja Chase and/or Tread XL - Race Edition device, the inReach device must be added to the same Professional account as the Tread XL - Baja Chase and/or Tread XL - Race Edition device is associated with AND have an active PRO plan subscription.
