"Unable to Register" or "Invalid Chart" Message when Adding a Device in Garmin Express
Unable to Register or Invalid Chart may be displayed when attempting to add a device to Garmin Express from the Vessel screen instead of the Home screen.
Note: Automotive accessories such as the GTM 60 cable, are not able to be registered in Garmin Express.

Only marine charts and fixed-mount chartplotters should be added to a Vessel in Garmin Express. All other Garmin devices should be added from the Home screen instead.
To Add the Device from the Home Screen:
- Click the Home
icon in Garmin Express - Click Add a Device
- Wait for Garmin Express to find your device (do not click Sign In)
- Click Add Device
- Follow the remaining prompts
The device will now be added to Express.
If the vessel was added to Garmin Express in error, it can be removed from the Home screen.
To Remove the Vessel:
- Click the Home
icon in Garmin Express - Right-click the Vessel

- Hold control (ctrl) and click the Vessel when using a one-button mouse on a Mac
- Click Remove from Express
- Click the Remove button
The vessel will no longer display on the Home screen in Garmin Express.
