Creating, Editing, Or Deleting a Trip On An Automotive Device

Creating a multiple-point trip allows navigation among several points. Trips can be saved to the device's internal storage for use at a later date. The device will store up to 100 trips.

To create a trip:

1. Touch Apps
2. Touch Trip Planner
3. Touch 
4. Touch Create Trip
5. Touch Select Start Location. (Note that the Start Location is not necessarily the point from where you'll be leaving. The Start Location will be the first point you would like to travel to.)
6. Locate the desired starting point using the various search options
7. Touch Select
8. Touch Add Location to add a second point
9. Follow steps 6 through 8 to locate and add up to 30 total points
   • To adjust the order of points as they are entered, touch the point and touch . Touch and hold on the point you'd like to move, then drag it to the desired location on the list.
   • To remove points, touch the point then touch . Repeat with further points if desired.
10. Touch Select Destination and follow step 6 to select a destination
11. Touch Next (the route will now calculate)
12. Touch Save
13. Type the desired name for the route, then touch Done.

To edit a trip:

1. Touch Apps
2. Touch Trip Planner
3. Touch the name of the trip
4. Touch 
   • Touch a point to reveal  (replace) and  (change order) icons
5. Select from the following options:
   • Optimize Order: Have the device calculate the most optimum order in which to travel to all the entered points.
     • Note: The start point and end point will remain as entered and will not be changed when optimized.
   • Delete Trip: Removes the trip from Trip Planner
   • View Turns: Lists turn by turn written directions

When the route has been edited to your satisfaction, touch Go! to proceed with navigation.

To edit the trip settings:

1. Touch Apps
2. Touch Trip Planner
3. Touch the name of the trip
4. Touch 
5. Touch Trip Settings
6. Select from the following options:
   • Rename Trip: Renames the saved trip name
   • Shape Route: Adds unannounced points (shaping points) to the trip
   • Route Preference: Designates the preferred way to have the device route the trip
   • Edit Schedule: Changes the departure and arrival times
