Playing AirPlay or UPnP on a Fusion® Apollo™ Stereo

A Fusion® Apollo™ stereo can connect to Wi-Fi using Ethernet, or on some stereos via a built-in Wi-Fi router. When connected via Wi-Fi, an Apollo stereo can stream audio from a smart device using Apple AirPlay or UPnP (or Universal Plug and Play).

Streaming from Apple AirPlay

  1. Follow the steps in Networking Fusion Apollo Stereos to connect the stereo to a Wi-Fi network

  2. Connect the Apple device to the same Wi-Fi network as the stereo

  3. Open the app audio is to be played from on the Apple device

  4. In the app, select airplay icon 1airplay icon 2 AirPlay and select the stereo from the device list

  5. Begin playing audio from the app

    • The AirPlay source is not shared to other grouped stereos on the network

    • AirPlay 2 can connect to and play over multiple stereos on the same network, however the stereos cannot be grouped

    • Some AirPlay devices will adjust volume on the stereo when the Apple device volume itself is adjusted. This is built into the Apple device and cannot be disabled

A password can be set for AirPlay connection on each stereo.

  3. Select Source
