Instructions to Sync Deezer Content to a Fēnix 5 Plus Series Device

This article will provide the following steps to use the Deezer Connect IQ™ app on your fēnix® 5 Plus series watch:

Requirements for Syncing Music

Once the requirements are met, three major steps need to be completed if this is your first time using the app.

Download and Install the Deezer Connect IQ App

  1. Select the following link to download the app:  Deezer Connect IQ App.
  2. Select  button.
  3. If prompted, sign into your Garmin account.
  4. Select your device to download the app.
  5. Acknowledge any app permission requests.
  6. Sync your device.
    • To sync via Bluetooth: Be in range of your paired Smartphone, press and hold the power key to access the Controls Menu. Select  to sync.
    • To sync via Wi-Fi: Be in range of your Wi-Fi network, press and hold the power key to access the Controls Menu. Select  to sync.
    • To sync using Garmin Express:  Connect device using supplied power/data cable to computer. Open Garmin Express. Sync will automatically occur once device is detected. 

The Deezer app will now be installed onto your device.

Set up the Deezer Connect IQ App

Note: Device must be able to connect to a previously connected Wi-Fi network. You will also need your smartphone that is paired to your device.

  1. Hold UP/MENU.
  2. Select Settings. 
  3. Select Music.
  4. Select Music Providers.
  5. Select Deezer.
    • The watch will search and connect to Wi-Fi.
  6. Once connected, the device will display a message to Open Garmin Connect Mobile app to sign in. At the same time, your smartphone should display a notification similar to:
  7. Acknowledge message on the phone which will take you to Deezer. Depending on whether you have an account, the login process will be as follows:
    • Existing Deezer users: Enter your login details and select Log In. From here, skip to Sync Music to the fēnix 5 Plus series watch.
    • New to Deezer: Tap the Register here button, and follow the steps to create your account.
  8. If prompted, enter credit card details to complete the process.  

Sync Music to the fēnix 5 Plus Series Watch

Note: From your Deezer account, create a playlists. Saved playlists will display as optional music to sync on your device. For more information see Deezer Support.

  1. Hold UP/MENU.
  2. Select Settings. 
  3. Select Music.
  4. Select Music Providers.
  5. Select Deezer.
  6. Select My Playlists.
  7. Choose playlists you want to sync to your watch.
  8. Select Done.
  9. Press the Back button and select yes to “Start music sync now?”
