GPSMAP 276c/376c/378/478 Software Update

Garmin continually creates updates for devices to improve performance, correct issues, or add new features to devices. To update the internal software of a portable marine chartplotter, follow the instructions below.

NOTE: This will only update the internal operating system of the device. This will not update any internal mapping preloaded to the device or loaded to a Garmin Data Card.

If this is the first time the portable device will be connected to a computer, the latest USB drivers may need to be installed. 

To update the device's software, a program called WebUpdater will need to be downloaded and installed. There are instructions at the bottom of the download page that will help with the installation of the program. Once the program has been installed, follow the on screen prompts to complete the update process.
