Garmin Dash Cam Warm/Hot During Use

The Garmin Dash Cam™ Mini 3, Garmin Dash Cam™ Mini 2, and Garmin Dash Cam™ Mini are designed for the automotive environment and are certified to meet the required international product safety standards.  It is normal and expected for these dash cams to become warm or hot and remain safe for use in warm climates with full sun exposure. 

The temperature of the device itself can exceed the specified maximum operating ambient temperature for the device and remain safe for use.  The device may be warm or hot to the touch just like your rearview mirror, steering wheel, seat belt buckle, or any other interior item in your vehicle.  If you need to remove the device from the windshield in this condition, we recommend grasping the device at the top and the bottom.
