Garmin Speak or Garmin Speak Plus Displays Poor Data Connection when my Phone Shows a Signal

If your Garmin Speak or Garmin Speak Plus device displays "Poor Data Connection", your phone's current data speed may be too slow for the device to operate. As you travel into a better cellular data coverage area, the message should no longer appear.

Signal strength bars on most smartphones are designed to indicate the current cellular signal strength, but do not necessarily reflect the current upload and download speeds. It may be possible, in some circumstances, to display full signal strength on your phone and still receive this message.
