Creating a Route Using Route Planner on the GPSMAP 66, 67, or 86 Series

The GPSMAP® 66i, 66s, 66sr, 66st, 67, 67i, 86i, 86s, 86sc, and 86sci handhelds have a Route Planner feature that allows you to easily create routes using either direct paths between points or calculated routing to follow available roads and trails.

NOTE: If Route Planner is not a listed application on your device, it can be added to the main menu. For steps, see - Options Are Missing From the Main Menu on My Outdoor Handheld.

Creating a Route Using Route Planner

A route can include many waypoints, and it should include at least a starting point and one destination.

  1. Press MENU twice to access the main menu.

  2. Select Route Planner > Create Route > Select First Point.

  3. Select a category.

  4. Select the first point in the route.

  5. Select Use.

  6. Select Select Next Point to add additional points to the route.

  7. Select QUIT to save the route.
