Touchscreen Recalibration on a Garmin Automotive Device
If the touchscreen on your automotive device is inaccurate or not responding, it may need to be calibrated.
It is important to ensure that your device’s system software is up-to-date before attempting a recalibration. To update the system software of your device, download and run the Garmin Express program from the following link: Garmin Express
To Complete a Touchscreen Recalibration:
- Power your nüvi® off
- Hold the nüvi® so that the power button is on top (portrait orientation)
- Press the hold the power button for about 60-90 seconds until the calibration screen appears
- Release the power button
- Follow the directions to calibrate the touch screen
- The dots will change location
- A stylus or pencil eraser may be used to accurately touch the dots
- The screen is now calibrated and ready for use.
The touchscreen is now recalibrated. Repeat the above steps as needed.
