Android: Issues With GPS Position and Markers Not Displaying Properly When Panning and Zooming
Sometimes you may find your GPS arrow is not staying located in your current position or it may move around the map as the app tries to redraw your position. You may also find inconsistencies in the way that a marker displays after you have entered it. If this is the case, make sure that the Force GPU rendering in the main settings of your device is not marked.
Enable Developer Options for your device:
- Go to Settings, then tap About device or About phone.
- Tap on Software Information
- Scroll down, then tap Build number seven times.
- Enter your pattern, PIN or password to enable the Developer options menu.
- The Developer options menu will now appear in your settings menu.
Once Developer Options are enabled, do the following:
- Tap Settings of your device.
- Tap Developer Options.
- Make sure the Force GPU rendering checkbox is not marked.
Shortcut: Settings > Developer Options > Force GPU rendering (not marked)
